This image either had to be made in April 1970, or a very early Amtrak didn't it? My memory says that the inception of Amtrak was May 1, 1971, but I'm also a senior citizen and my memory is slowly going south I fear,.... maybe.
Con  Date: 12/08/05 16:36 Re: The SP Sunset Limited Author: WAF It probably is Amtrak, 1971. 1970, the consist would be smaller with coaches and automat plus the bagagge car. The dorm car appears to be one or two cars behind a couple of deadheading cars.
