Flashback to June 19, 1994 when the Joint Line was configured different from how it appears in 2005. Southbound ATSF 9-44CW "Super Fleet" 601 led the train out of Denver, CO, about to pass under West Evans Avenue.

Tracks were later moved west to accommodate Denver RTD Southwest Corridor. BNSF/UP has three tracks at this location with the far left track being track one.

Wow, that does look different. Amazing what 10 years can do, now there is a triple track main with concrete ties, and a double track Light Rail line. The other obvious difference is that there aren't the three to four coal trains normally backed up waiting to get into the yard that you see at Evans.
