Nostalgia & History > Need help with location on CNW/CGWDate: 01/14/06 14:26 Need help with location on CNW/CGW Author: cnw400 My slide is dated 1967 and I figure the location is somewhere between Mankato and St Paul. There must be a railroad crossing behind the train because of the fixed position signal above the 2nd unit, also a CNW switch stand is visible beside the first covered hopper. Thanks for any help. Its definately on the old M&StL and looks to me that it might be leaving Montgomery, MN northbound. They crossed the Milwaukee Road there, ie. the fixed signal. This would be my first guess..
