There isn't nor was there ever a railroad nearby as far as I know to this location. I don't think that Canton ever had a railroad, right or wrong? Does anybody recognize this depot? There was also a caboose and a couple of boxcars sitting nearby, but there wasn't anybody around when I was I took this and a few other pictures.

Abilene is an architectural gem. Date: 03/20/12 13:19 Re: Texas depots Author: octrax Athearn, Walthers, or any other rail model co. should produce a HO model of the A&S Abilene station! That would be a great one to model with the nice-flowing lines. I'm pretty sure that station in the HO 1:87 scale would have a very compact footprint on anyone's layout. Who knows...that could be our new "station in life"... :- )
