In the early 1950s, Model Railroader magazine did an article (or series) based on the Consolidated Rock Products bunker in Los Nietos, California. Exactly where in Los Nietos was this facility?

ConRock had a sand and gravel and concrete batch plant in Whittier. I remember it being a wooden structure, and that it suffered a partial collapse in the late 1950s. Would this be the same facility?

(My dad was in sales for ConRock during the Fifties and early Sixties.)

Yes I remember it was a wooden structure in the magazine. And Los Nietos is close enough to Whittier that it would probably be the same facility.
