Nostalgia & History > Somewhat off-topic: Binders for Loose-Leaf TimetablesDate: 03/31/06 02:44 Somewhat off-topic: Binders for Loose-Leaf Timetables Author: David.Curlee For the timetable collectors out there, what do you do with loose-leaf timetables and rulebooks when you are missing the proper-sized binders?
A quick glance at my collection reveals the following paper sizes used by ATSF, BN, SP, or Amtrak for which I am missing binders for: 6.5" by 4.25" 2-ring binder 6.625" by 4.5" 6-ring binder 8.5" by 3.75" 6-ring binder 7" by 5.25" 6-ring binder 7.25" by 4" 6-ring binder 10" by 7" 6-ring binder 8.5" by 5.5" 7-ring binder Personally, I could care less if the binders are non-authentic. All I'm interested in is a source for these odd-shaped binders that won't charge me $25 each. Thanks for your help! You might try contacting National Blank Book (I hope they are still around), they are a large manaufacturer of binders and forms. Another place might be a commercial printing house. Unfortunatly, the large office supply stores like Staples and Office Depot employ people without a lot of expertise in UNCOMMON items.

Conrail one with 2 rings, and another was a Chessie with a bunch of holes, but it fit the same as the 2-ring one I used for the Conrail ones. I think I just got them at a regular office store, like Office Depot or something.
