UP '74
Author: odub

My wife and I spent the summer of 1974 up in the Wind River Mountains of western Wyoming. Would occasionally get out and check out the UP, though. First shot is a GP20 switching the yard at Green River. Second is a GP9/GP7 lash-up with a work train south of Kemmerer. Third shot is an NW2 switching in Salt Lake City.

Top shot is an SD24 handing out in Salt Lake City. Second is a manifest freight coming around a stiff curve along the Black River (not real far from Little America). Third shot is an SD45, again in Salt Lake City.

Wind River is on my list, thanks for the clues as to what to expect.
Even the UPRR had interesting power back in 'dem days.

Thanks so much for showing these.  They are some gems.  Sure do wish all the model variation was like this in these days.
