a stuffed and mounted Katy steam locomotive

In another and an earlier post someone posed a question about any still extant MKT steamers. One guy answered and said that there wasn't any Katy steam left, that the poor old Katy needed scrap money too bad to save anything from the scrapper's torch. That statement wasn't quite true, and this image is evidence. Maybe if the 311 had've been scrapped, the MKT could have avoided bankruptcy?

Here is another extant Katy steam engine, although it's not a locomotive, per se.

Where is this preserved Katy engine?

I think the 311 is in St Louis - but where is the crane?

I believe that the Georgetown RR now owns that crane. The GRR has wound up with a decent collection of ex Katy rolling stock, and etc. and yes, the 311 is in the museum collection near St Louis.

Do you know where the MKT 591 was at when that picture was taken? And do you have any guess as to approximately what year it was taken?

Thanks
