Ok, some Rio Grande
Author: drew1946

Ok I found some Rio Grande--alas it is in California after the Grande entered into matrimonial bliss with the SP. D&RGW GP40 3102 passing the then closed and forlorn SP depot in Stockton in April of 1992.

Just looking at the trailing unit and the front one and the difference in the Orange paint. Were these 2 different orange colors or did the orange fade that bad?

The second unit is what is called a Pumpkin.
These are the 23 units DRGW bought secondhand
from Conrail, the paint shop in Kansas City applied
a much Redder Orange than what EMD put on Factory
Built EMD units.
