Nostalgia & History > Saudi ZephyrDate: 07/27/06 09:54 Saudi Zephyr Author: jcaestecker Greetings All,
The thread below on SCL 501 prompts me to ask about the pre-war Zephyr equipment set that went to Saudi Arabia back in the '60s. Anyone have details or pics regarding its current location, condition or fate? Thanks, -jcaestecker Date: 07/28/06 00:52 Re: Saudi Zephyr Author: GP30 Wasn't there a small article in Trains magazine about the equipment in question, done back in the 1990's? I recall that and the RDC's that went over there being written about back then.

Another site listing Budd's production out of the Red Lion plant showed 3 RDC-2's built in 1951 for Arabian-American Oil Co. & another RDC-2 built 1955 for Saudi Government Railroad. |
