Nostalgia & History > Santa Cruz local December 1991Date: 08/11/06 23:54 Santa Cruz local December 1991 Author: drew1946 By 1991, the SP had re-laid the track between Santa Cruz (Orby) and Davenport with CWR and six axle power started turning up on the branch. In December of 1991, SD9 #4384 with SD9 #4458 and SD45 7403 are leaving Davenport with a train of cement loads. The old ACI color strips can still be seen on the long hood of #4384.

Nice images once again. Mike Date: 08/12/06 05:28 Re: Santa Cruz local December 1991 Author: xtra1188w Since you've taken so many great train pictures over the years, when did you ever find to trailer-truck?
Con Date: 08/12/06 07:41 Re: Santa Cruz local December 1991 Author: drew1946 Since I was forced to stop working four years ago, I have been trying to figure out where I found the time to work. Seriously though, working mostly Northern California and the Bay Area with a lot of weekends off helped, plus I would go to work at 4 AM and sometimes of by 1 or 2, gave me a lot of afternoons to chase trains plus a VERY supportive and understanding wife.
Another aspect, these photos were taken after I finished unloading up at UC Santa Cruz and I left my trailers on the North end of town and took just the tractor. I modified my time sheet accordingly and it was no secret as company managment knew that I did it. Date: 08/12/06 12:39 Re: Santa Cruz local December 1991 Author: dmaffei Hey Sam,
