Nostalgia & History > Three Generations of SP power at Santa Clara Aug. 78Date: 08/12/06 18:39 Three Generations of SP power at Santa Clara Aug. 78 Author: drew1946 For reasons lost to memory, on morning in August of 1978 I found this lash up at Santa Clara, heading down the main toward SP's San Jose Lenzen Ave. engine facility. SDP45 3200 followed by GP9E 3780 and Sulzer kit bashed (once a U25B)7030 occupy the Eastward main track. All the buildings in the background have vanished in favor of Santa Clara's new police headquarters.
