Three Generations of SP power at Santa Clara Aug. 78
Author: drew1946

For reasons lost to memory, on morning in August of 1978 I found this lash up at Santa Clara, heading down the main toward SP's San Jose Lenzen Ave. engine facility. SDP45 3200 followed by GP9E 3780 and Sulzer kit bashed (once a U25B)7030 occupy the Eastward main track. All the buildings in the background have vanished in favor of Santa Clara's new police headquarters.

Especially nice that you got the class engine 3200, and a clean one to boot!

I think Burt Reynolds summed it up best when he said to Eddie Albert: "Stick this in your trophy case!" Very nice shot.
