#11 used to be a Rio Grande locomotive, and I have probably seen it when it still wore black with yellow stripes, possibly even on Tennessee Pass. I used to know what it's Rio Grande number was, but I've forgotten, how can I find this sort of info? I looked on Don Strack's Utah Rails website, but I didn't find that sort of information.

I did some digging for you at Don's site and found the following info for you:

http://utahrails.net/drgw/rg-diesels-5.php

DRGW 5952 Bld Date Jul 1956 Bld #22077 retired 10 Apr 1984

Sold to Mid America Car, Kansas City, Kans., in June 1984; leased to Kyle Railways 5952 in July 1984; sold to Railtex in December 1986; to Austin & Northwestern 11 in January 1987; rebuilt to slug by National Railway Equipment (retaining full GP9 car body, but with dynamic braking removed); completed as Missouri & North Arkansas 4164.

Hope this helps. :)

Here is the MNA 4164 at Carthage,MO 9-2-01. When I shot this I looked at the former d/b area and
it was such a clean alteration you couldn't tell they were ever there.

Looks like it may have been converted to a slug
