More interesting photos...that Consolidation in your first photo has another digit in it's number. The frame of the turntable is
obscuring it. Appreciate all the time that you have spent with getting all these out, thanks.

I think that's the first photo I've seen of a consolidation with the narrow tank short Vandy tender. Lot's of shot's on 0-6-0's and 2-6-0's

Good point. This engine could have been assigned to yard service and had the smaller tender for just that reason.

The 2706 has a stubby Vanderbilt.... actually, two Vanderbilts now. - Tony J.

Just took another look at the third photo...the one with 4211 in it. Little bit of trivia here, she was the helper on an Eastbound sugarbeet train from Niles to Altamont on November 28, 1956. This should have been the last use of steam on freight over this part of the SP.

Being in the vicinity, I still make pilgrimages to the Junction, depressing though it may be. Those engine ready tracks still exist, but all the structures, save the depot are gone. AA
