Nostalgia & History > Colorado & Southern Rex branch and wye severed!

Another part of the Colorado & Southern is gone....

I just noticed today that the C&S Rex branch, which ran from the old C&S depot in Fort Collins northwest through Laporte and Bellvue then up to an old lime quarry at Rex, has been officially killed off by BNSF. Both switches to the wye have been removed from the mainline.

I hope to follow the old ROW sometime soon, maybe do an article if anyone is interested in helping. I need some pictures of trains running along the branch.
