Sharpest curve on the Sierra Railroad line is located just east of Canyon Tank Station (Milepost 23), not above Jamestown, as most people believe. After testing Baldwin demonstrators 1501, 750 & 751, in 1948 and 1950, Sierra Railroad elected to stay with steam, and purchased Weyerhauser 2-6-6-2 #4 (38) in 1952.
