Santa Fe
Author: RebStout

This very unusual item came from my younger sister Marilyn, who resides back in Colorado Springs. The cover is a bit ratty, but all the inside pages are in fine condition.

I didn’t even know Santa Fe produced such a booklet. I scanned some of the more interesting pages , comparing railroad statistics and costs and opinions to those of today’s railroads.

You wouldn’t believe all the info in this Almanac. Everything from Weather Wisdom to gum drops to calendars to recipes to how to make apricot-pineapple preserves! I reckon that’s what an almanac is all about…

Almanac #1 – Front cover.

Almanac #2 – Security of millions depends on railroads.

Almanac #3 – Government ownership of railroads. (This one is extremely interesting).

End of “Santa Fe’s Everymans Almanac 1936” set. Enjoy!

What a cool document. I had no idea such a thing existed either. Thanks for more treasures!
