The pair was doubling the hill this day because the train was too heavy to go up as one consist.

I think a slide show on the Permaente Branch from old days to present would be interesting. I've seen many changes from motive power to when there were more spur tracks and such. Maybe we'll see it some day. I guess it's a litle too late, but were you at Winterail? I can't remember if you had said you were going or not. Have a good day.
