Burlington Break!
Author: yardclerk

First generation Burlington diesel pictures are rare on Trainorders so here's an attempt to remedy that situation.

Bud Laws posted these 3 pictures on the ABPR newsgroup yesterday. Photographer is Eddie Bowers of Nashville Tn.

1. CB&Q 209 switching at Kansas City Mo on April 3, 1963. Did Burlington have many passenger Geeps?

2. C&S 700A at Fort Worth Tx on May 3, 1963.

3. FW&D 751D also at Fort Worth Tx. Date unknown.

In my view, that "Q" "Everywhere West" scheme was one of the all-timers.

Many of their GP7s, SD7s and SD9s had steam generators.
