SP GP38 #4840 leading out of Truckee March 1994

Equipped for snow service, SP #4840 and 4803 are leading 5 other units West out of Truckee in March of 1994. I am not sure if they were short on helper power or the two GP's are heading to Roseville for service. Amtrak's #5 and 6 have yet to cross Donner this day and the raised breaker will clear icicles for both passenger trains.

Your feet were probably much warmer, shooting photos of your excellent model, than mine were wandering around Truckee that morning:)

Did you figure out the 'spinner' window trick? Looks like you've penciled something in place.
