Nostalgia & History > An update on the SF PA Chief emblemDate: 05/13/07 12:19 An update on the SF PA Chief emblem Author: roberthedgecock Ebay item #330115654643 Sold for $8500.00 geez A little out of my price range
Date: 05/13/07 16:56 Re: An update on the SF PA Chief emblem Author: Coolidge I wonder what one that is not "folded, stapled, or mutilated" (in other words not dented and scratched) would go for? This herald was nice, but a long way from being one worth $8500 IMHO. Good news for the seller, but if somebody wants to pay the price....it is worth it for somebody! Nice auction.
Date: 05/13/07 19:53 Re: An update on the SF PA Chief emblem Author: qnyla So how many of these Indian head emblems were there in total? 2 for each PA plus two for each (or just some?) E unit? Say 100 to 125 or so in total? I've seen about 6 or 7 of these over the years.
I had a chance to buy a near mint condition one for $900 when I was in grad school. Decided instead that my wife and I should eat for the next 3 months ;-). Or I was standing beside it when it fell off Date: 05/15/07 10:54 Re: An update on the SF PA Chief emblem Author: BrianJennison Yeh, that's the ticket! It FELL off. Yeh. :-) I saw a bunch of the PAs in the scrap line in Chicago in 1969, but I don't recall whether they still had their "Indian Heads" or not.
