More KCC, in B&W or in color?
Author: donstrack

One of Kennecott Copper's MP15AC units, KCC 704 worked for five years in the Bingham mine, but in 1983 it was transferred to Ore Haulage and renumbered to 123 and repainted green. Here it is after the move, but before the renumber/repaint. It was stored in 1988 after the big lay-offs, and is today in service (I think) as Gateway Western 1510.

The other three MP15ACs had wide cabs for dumper service, and they too are in service today on other roads, after having their wide cabs narrowed to normal width. Two are CP units, and the third, after being painted UP 1429 for a year, is a leaser for Helm.

I like the way Photoshop makes black & white out of color, being able to fix the different tonal values is good. I have several that were terrible exposures in color, but making them B&W makes them better. So I tried making one of the good ones B&W also. Was it good for you?

The b/w is nice but two thumbs up for the color.
