Nostalgia & History > Amer. Flyer 1954 TV show (link)Date: 03/25/08 12:38 Amer. Flyer 1954 TV show (link) Author: chico A friend sent me a link to this 1954 American Flyer TV show:
It's about 12:00 long, some cool movies of prototype RR'ing spliced in at the beginning, also at about 4:40 & at the end, also check out the wheel slip at about 7:54 on the model train when it gets a signal. Show features a bunch of kids in a basement clubhouse with an American Flyer setup, special guest engineer from the New Haven RR who runs the Merchant Limited, "3:55 from New York to Back Bay!" as the boys cheer..at about the 2:25 mark. Check it out~ Chico http://www.heartlandrails.com Date: 03/25/08 13:34 Re: Amer. Flyer 1954 TV show (link) Author: trainboy03 The show was called The Boys RR Club and was put out by the AC Gilbert Company. There was only something like 6 episodes made. Dad has all 6 on VHS and they are great to sit back and watch. Each episode featured a guest "real railroader" and film from the representing road was spliced in.

a fair amount of railroad related ( both prototype and model ) programming. Where do you find the video of the Flyer programs? Date: 03/27/08 18:05 Re: Amer. Check out the link on the bottom for American Flyer Videos to find a copy of the Boys Railroad Club.
