There are at least five - all are ex-Santa Fe units.

842 is on the Austin and Texas Central, numbered #442 and painted in a semi Southern Pacific "Black Widow" scheme.
841 is ex GWB ex LS&I is at IRM.
823 is ex-Utah Railway and is at the Utah Railroad Museum
820 is at CSRM
843 is at the Arkansas Railroad Museum and has been cosmetically restored and repainted to SF blue. It's a beauty, but I can't find a photo of it.

A couple of photos of the SF 9820 at the CSRM in Sacramento. These were taken on the SP shop tour in 2003 at the Southern Pacific Historical and Technical Society meet in October.

1 - the SF Alligator #9820
2 - The 9820 and my son David........ better known as Alligatorfan.
3 - Closeup of me at the nose of the 9820.

Thank for the additional info and photo's. I only ever go to see them once. I spotted two of the ex ATSF/LS&I units in Green Bay in 1990. Both were parked and idling in the old CNW yard north of the GBW.
