I'm bad about dates on photos but this must have been in 1973, maybe. EL 2567 ( GP35 ) is headed southeast on the double track Erie line at Griffith, Ind. They will cross the single track Michigan Central shown at the bottom of the photo and then the double track of the EJ&E and the double track of the GTW before getting across Broad Street. It seemed the Erie didn't slow down much coming through here but probably should have as they would negotiate seven diamonds and 2 or 3 switches in a very short distance.
