My dad is going through his slide collection and scanning pictures, and came across this beauty. I'm guessing this is in San Bernadino,CA, but could anyone confirm that, and when it might have been taken?

I second that, as I was there that day in pure amazement. I sure do miss old Berdoo Rebuild Shops.

Minor correction - those are the 101 and 102 (ex-5992 and 5998), released from the paint booth in July 1989. The 100 (ex-5990) was the third unit painted, emerging in August '89. Those three were the only Superfleet FP45's to carry amber beacons - Santa Fe started junking beacons en-masse starting in late 1989.
