In the summer of 1981 right before I went to Navy boot camp, I was able to take a trip to Washington DC. I had never seen the Northeast Corridor, so while my older brother and our hosts took a canoe trip on some river in Virginia (we stayed in Alexandria), I fired up my trusty Konica FS1 loaded with K64 and went to work. I rode to Baltimore to see the B&O museum and took the Broadway Limited from Washington to Chicago ... what a great trip. For your consideration are a few Amtrak shots from that trip ...

2. Amtrak 747 at Roosevelt Road in Chicago (after arriving in Chicago on the Broadway Limited, I had some time to kill before returning home on the Illinois Zephyr. What better way to spend time than at Roosevelt Road?).
