A SD45 and 2 UP SD40's lead a west train up the main. Todd Montgomery Eugene OR Date: 12/12/09 16:52 Re: "I can hear the train...oh, there it is" Author: Jefflocal Neat shot Todd, it must have been interesting getting up there in that
kind of weather. Did you ever see a spreader or rotary working up there? Thanks, Geoff B. Date: 12/12/09 19:59 Re: "I can hear the train...oh, there it is" Author: coosbaytoday Thanks, Geoff. Don't ever remember seeing the SP use a flanger or spreader. Know they did, heard them on the scanner. But there was probably more snow on the ground. Only ran a rotary up there one time that I knew of, and it was more for practice. We didn't have any problems getting in there this day, as my friend had a full sized Ford 4X4 pickup. When we were walking back out to his truck, our inbound footprints had already filled with snow. Hwy 58 was pretty icy, so Fields was as far as we went into the Cascades that day. Think we headed back to Oakridge for some Pizza at Timber Jims.
Thanks for looking. Todd Montgomery Date: 12/13/09 06:32 Re: "I can hear the train...oh, there it is" Author: WAF Rotary was used once in recent times that I know of outside of that training session in January, 1982
