Jewett, McKean County, Pa. Built in 1882, it served an Erie secondary line in northwestern Pennsylvania. The Erie eventually obtained trackage rights over a parallel B&O line in 1959 and abandoned the line across the bridge. The Knox and Kane, a now-defunct shortline, operated excursions over the bridge from 1987 until structural problems were discovered in 2002. The central portion of the viaduct collapsed in a tornado in 2003. Art House Gettysburg, Pa. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 03/24/10 13:37 by aehouse.
