The title of this thread sounds like the opening of a joke! Sorry.

In the thread below regarding railroad stewardess' someone made a comment that all of the NP stewardess/nurses in the ads were brunette.

Well, her's a blonde so I guess equal employment opportunities did exist at the NP!

One of the NP books has a complete roster, with photos, of the stewardess-nurses, so identification might be possible.

On the other hand, the young lady in the photo is most likely an advertising model.

Doesn't really matter. Those NP young ladies were Great - all of them!

No! They were wonderful, or beautiful, or gorgeous, or friendly or any of a number of other accolades. But they were not "Great". That was a term that only applied to that other railroad located a little further north with that funny little goat on the side of the passenger cars with their "Great" Domes and the like.-:)

I believe I read that most if not all stewardess nurses shown in NP ads were advertising models.

Thanks for linking the great series of pictures. The stewardess appears in the first picture of the series, as well.

Her hat is "askew". Nice photo, too.
