With Pittsburgh in tomorrow's Super Bowl, here are a few images of Pittsburgh & Lake Erie:

1. Pittsburgh & Lake Erie passenger terminal taken from the western side of the Smithfield Street Bridge over the Monongahela River. The image was taken in 1978 shortly after the Grand Concourse restaurant moved into the former waiting room. The building was still headquarters for the P & LE. I believe the red neon P & LE letters were turned off in 1992 after the merger into CSX.
