Harris Tower Open for the 2011 Season
Author: DanRapak

Harris Railroad Tower Museum is Open for the 2011 Season!

Harris Tower - host of the Trainorders.com Harris Tower Web Cam - has been completely restored to its early 1940's appearance. All equipment has been returned to operational condition and tied in to a computer simulation system. The computer is programmed with the actual PRR train schedules from 1943 allowing you to actually operate the levers of the interlocking machine to route trains to their proper destinations!

Harris is located adjacent to busy NS and Amtrak Lines and provides the perfect vantage point to view and photograph dozens of trains that pass by right outside the tower's windows every day!

Harris Tower is located at the corner of 7th and Walnut Streets in downtown Harrisburg, PA and is open Saturdays from 10 am to 4 pm with the last tour beginning at 3 pm. Admission is free and there is free parking adjacent to the tower. Harris is only a two block walk from the Harrisburg Amtrak Station.

We hope to see you there!
