Even though today is a Warbonnet Wednesday, please permit me to digress into Santa Fe blue-and-yellow land for a moment. At the time, there was nothing particularly noteworthy about either consist.

1. Santa Fe GP35 3339 is on the head end of a typical eastbound "geep-pack" at Summit, Cajon Pass, in January 1977.

2. In August 1980, SD26 4609 leads an eastbound on the North Track at MP57X in Cajon Pass.

All of them. Santa Fe took care of the GP30's and GP35's.
They were the utility power on the Coast Lines. They did a little bit of everything.
