Remember colorful boxcars?

In the days before gratuitous graffiti, this Port Huron and Detroit car was on the SP in 1987.

Yeah those older BAR's were nice....however the State of Maine boxcar was always my favorite

These cars were called Green Hornets by fans back in the day. If you ask me this IS the nicest paint scheme to adorn the side of any box car.
The Seaboard Air Line used this color on their cushion underframe cars ONLY. This included some bulkhead flats assigned to drywall service.
