1983 Fairbank-Morse switchers working around the old Milwaukee Road and Illinois Central yards Date: 03/09/12 10:31 Re: Fairbank Morse Friday Author: bxa1 Date: 03/09/12 10:32 Re: Fairbank Morse Friday Author: bxa1 Date: 03/09/12 11:34 Re: Fairbank Morse Friday Author: lwilton Working FM pictures are a rarity, these are great, thanks!
These pictures are interesting technically. Were they taken on something like Tri-X? They almost look like they were low-light images, but seem to have been taken in daylight. I'm not complaining mind you, any pictures from the past are great to have! I'm just trying to understand whether the film has decayed over the years, or if maybe they were a little underexposed at the time. (Lord knows I was good at that before I finally got a camera that could automatically adjust exposure!) Date: 03/09/12 13:25 Re: Fairbank Morse Friday Author: rob_l When did the last Milw FM operate in revenue service? Was that the last Class I using FMs?
Thanks in advance, Rob L. It was originally Virginian Railway H24-66 No. 73.
