Nostalgia & History > photos needed of wooden SP coachesDate: 11/05/12 16:36 photos needed of wooden SP coaches Author: iliketrains I'm putting together an information Board for these two coaches for the Pacific Southwest Railway Museum:
#239 (ex-Southern Pacific #51): Built by Gilbert & Bush, Troy, New York; 1875 #240 (ex-Southern Pacific #195): Built by Barney & Smith Car Co., Dayton, Ohio; 1889 If you have any photos of these in service, or, any similar cars built by these builders in service, I would appreciate it. The photos will appear on a board at the museum, and, on line, if you agree. Also, if you have similar cars in service on the AT&SF in San Diego - that would also be appreciated. Many thanks. This ia a labor of love putting this together. Date: 11/05/12 17:05 Re: photos needed of wooden SP coaches Author: spnudge The SD&AE folks would have the dope on 2 or 3 of them. They are on ties at Jacumba.
