...and SW900E 1192 on the far left makes three! The 9500 must have been just days away from being renumbered 6767.

The building in this photo is the Firing Line shed located North of the boiler shop at the Sacramento Southern Pacific Shops. It still exists and used by the CSRM.

That's a cool picture but it's old. A bunch of the equipment that they donated to the PLA is still in the picture. I wonder how long ago tht was taken.

Just wanted to show where the shed is in relation to the rest of the shop, is all.

I see derrick SPMW 7113 and the KM camera car in there. Those moved to Niles Canyon in 2008. Conversely, the transfer table is in, so the shot is no older than 2003.

I see the shorty RPO (San Bruno caboose) SP 475 over by the river. They donated that to the PLA in 2006 so it was before that.

Interesting was SP's light removal practices in the beginning of the program. Some units in for work or new paint got reduced while others did not.
Also a rare find, the two unrebuilt SD45's in kodachrome. (hint hint).

Nice shot!
