I visited our companies Home Office is Chicago quiet frequently during the late '80s and early '90s but never was able to get a photo of the BN E's with noses that clean. The ones in most of my photos are fairly dirty between the numberboards.
Nice photo BTW. Jay Date: 11/12/12 18:39 Re: I'm Ready !!! Author: qman 1992 on the date. The noses were ALWAYS missed by the mechanical washers so, over time, the stripes became nearly obscured from view.

One of my favorite photos I took in the Chicago area is at Aurora. It is a shot of the layover yard with 13 E units clearly visible. Only one F40ph is visible as a small speck in the far background. (None of the E noses were as clean as the one in your image) Jay |
