Nostalgia & History > Conductor's Bell revisitedDate: 11/12/12 19:38 Conductor's Bell revisited Author: LarryDoyle In a thread last week, I said I'd get some pix of a bell installation, hopeing in particular I could get a shot of the rope spool.
http://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?11,2909945,2909945#msg-2909945 I was up in Duluth over the weekend, and s took a few pix of the Wm. Crooks and period cars. I did not get access to the cars interior, so could shoot the spool, but did get pix of other details. First, is a shot of the entire train on display. Second, the underside of a roof overhang on one of the platforms, showing the slot opening in the wall above the for the rope to pass through and the sheave at the center edge of the roof to guide the rope to the next car. Finally, a shot of the cab roof of the Crooks, showing the bell. -LD Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 11/12/12 19:39 by LarryDoyle. |
