Wow 8 units! Could the last 4 be going to San Luis Obispo for helper duty? Just a thought as SP seemed to swap out the helpers occasionally, and you would see six axle units going EB, and then going WB on different trains. Usually within a day or two of each other and often at the end of the week on Sundays or Mondays. Pure speculation but a cool shot none-the-less.......

Gone are the days of taking one unit off trains and adding it to the helper pool and switching it with units due 92 days checkups
