had never been on this line and tight curve. The guy upper left looks like either a MIB or John Baluchi doing a Blues Brothers dance. Though before my time, this being the trip to the Spokane world's fair, it was about this time that we were gathering aspirations in Cheyenne to see if 3985 could be a viable option for restoration to service. And history proves us out. Currently the Challenger still remains quite in the Cheyenne shop awaiting completion of it's class overhaul. I only hope that comes to fruition one day. I believe the 844 and 3985 were the best choices for continued service at the time and still are. Same thing happened in the late 70s on a trip to Laramie(?), as I recall. Very sharp eyes on the bell. I never noticed it. A closeup scan shows it isn't just good luck it hadn't fallen off. Carefully secured by rope. Keith A Date: 11/19/12 11:43 Re: for bob3985 Author: switchlock So where is this location?
Date: 11/20/12 11:54 Re: for bob3985 Author: Realist Bet it didn't fall off. Note the missing parts.
My guess is that someone tried to steal it and found out the hard way how heavy it is. |
