The "Del Monte" heading into San Francisco
Author: photobob

The "Del Monte running as Train 141 has just left Tunnel 3 with two more to go before it arrives at the Third & Townsend Depot. I forgot what year I took this shot.

I used to know the story regarding those extra lights on 3001 but forgot. I'm sure someone will remind me.

Thought it perhaps they were extra warning lights for the run around of the train in Monterey.

3001 had an old casting P5 horn as did 3007, but 3001 was common Del Monte power.

Great shot!

That's a neat angle Bob and I've seen very few pictures of the extra lights actually on the 3001 although you can find quite a few of the bracket remaining after they were removed. Nice shot!

Experiment for better crossing visability. Extra lights, that's all
