I can't recall ever seeing another mainline first-class train combination RPO-anything_else except RPO-baggage.
Despite the dirt "ballast", that's one well-maintained up-to-the-minute first-class passenger train. A wonderful view into the prarie world before paved roads or automobiles, even if it took a derailment to justify taking a photo of a "normal" train.
