SP SD70's along the Sacramento River
Author: photobob

In the pre-yellow days scarlet and grey were the colors of the day. Here we find 9823 west rolling along the Sacramento River between Sims and Gibson. The trailing unit is 9806.

With those boxcars, that looks like a train off the Siskiyou Line. Nice photo.

Wonderful! The best of the great SP.
So any guesses as to the boxcar roadnames? Kind of looks like an ex-SP job, but the lettering doesn't line up.
