Nostalgia & History > Needles District meetDate: 11/25/12 16:29 Needles District meet Author: Alco251 We're at Ludlow, California on a warm June, 18, 1983 afternoon, and this catch of the east and westbound Parker Locals meeting is a stroke of luck. The Parker Locals were forerunners to today's BNSF "Cadiz Turn"--it was "Santa Fe All The Way" to Parker, with a crew change to take the train on to Phoenix. This local was a bastion of GP30s and GP35s for many years in Santa Fe days.

On the Coast Lines, the GP30/GP35's could be used for anything. Date: 11/25/12 17:15 Re: Needles District meet Author: 3rdswitch Nice catch, miss the big red Santa Fe cabs.
