Nostalgia & History > A Great Mystery SolvedDate: 11/29/12 13:50 A Great Mystery Solved Author: shipsbell After at least 57 years a great mystery has been solved in my
life. I was born in San Francisco in June 1949 and lived on Lobos Street for my first 5 years. I remember as a very young boy seeing a steam locomotive below our house. Today I found the line on a map. Its called the Colma Branch and passes within 3 to 5 blocks away. Now some of you will dispute my memory as it was severed in 1942, it did continue to the car barn on Ocean until the 1950's.
