Date: 12/02/12 11:25 Re: mFile: MILW GP40 trio whereizit? Author: bradleymckay Looks like wb #263 just coming into Three Forks, MT in 1969 or 1970. I'll take a wild stab at it and say this is a Bruce Black photo, as he was in Montana in both 1969 and 1970. Could just as easily be a photo by Tom Brown or "FT".
Probably made the head end grain pick-up at Harlowton. Allen Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 12/02/12 11:28 by bradleymckay. Date: 12/02/12 12:43 Re: mFile: MILW GP40 trio whereizit? Long Bell Bob Missoula, Mt Date: 12/02/12 12:43 Re: mFile: MILW GP40 trio whereizit? Author: tolland I agree on Three Forks. Neat shot!
Date: 12/02/12 19:54 Re: mFile: MILW GP40 trio whereizit? Author: rob_l Westbound train 263 at Sappington. Locotrol train, so there's an SD45 receiver plus one or two other units somewhere back in the train. (Got a companion shot?)
Best regards, Rob L. Date: 12/02/12 20:10 Re: mFile: MILW GP40 trio whereizit? Author: TCnR What is that third car? Looks like some sort of Corporate logo or emblem.

Plus, the ex-NP would probably be in view. If I could remember whether the Sappington siding was on the north or south side of the main I'd be 100% sure. That looks like the Old Town Rd. crossing you can faintly see in the background. Photographer would be standing on the embankment or on top of Interstate 90. Allen Edited 5 time(s). I jumped to the erroneous conclusion because Sappington had a livestock pen; I forgot Three Forks also had one. Attached are a couple of shots taken right at sunrise of Second 262 coming and going at Sappington on October 21, 1973. Best regards, Rob L. Date: 12/03/12 08:30 Re: mFile: MILW GP40 trio whereizit?
