And I thought it was going to be the usual AT&SF graffiti "Margret Morgan has a...." normally found inside every cabinet on every AT&SF locomotive.

Should this have been in the locomotive and not in a caboose?

Who is Margret Morgan? I used to see her name all over locomotive bathrooms.

Nope, this type of work is conductors responsibility. Remember back in the day the Big-C sat in the back.

Not just the Santa Fe,but other roads as well. I remember Mopac cabooses had a holder for all the forms that the conductor might need to fill out what ever paper work he might need during the trip. There was also a big diagram bolted on the wall of a ART refer that showed when and how to open hatches for various kinds of produce. Over the years I managed to get at least copy of all the forms, but I wish I had taken one of the ART diagrams as none have ever turned up.

At Barstow, in the basement was our 'caboose supplyman'..he
stuffed large pouches of the above named forms including Form
827..Time claimed...white for Condr-Brakeman and yellow for
Engr-Fireman.

These were placed on pool waycars enroute Belen, Bakersfield,
Los Angeles and San Diego... Form 810 was Accident report..even
the crew wagon driver had a pad in the vehicle..some times
we did need them...
