GM&O E7A #103A Help Wanted: location and what train is it? Is the B unit one of the MILW ones in UP yellow? Amtrak did get a couple of them, and when I zoomed the shot the # could be the 34B and the lettering location and sizing looks like 'The MILWAUKEE Road'. A Dick Wallin shot?

Most likely Springfield, IL. Definitely a MILW E-unit booster.

Maybe the "Abe Lincoln".

Agreed, probably Springfield, Ill., southbound Abe Lincoln. Rode that train often in those days, and enjoyed the dome. But wow, has the scene in Springfield changed a lot through the years.

Likely during the time a couple of trains ran through CUS between Milwaukee and St. Louis.

Correct Dave. I have shots of a couple of the Amtrak trains at Joliet Union Station with pool GM&O/MILW power on the train, which Amtrak ran as a run through from Milwaukee to Springfield. And then there were the turbo trains.

It is not the "Abraham Lincoln". The "Abe" was the afternoon departure from Chicago.
At that time the train had a ex-Q dome parlor. This is the SB "Prairie State" at Springfield.

Obviously a UP diner with three coaches.
