D&RGW? Only looks that way ...

Took this on Aug. 9, 1970 as this train was approaching the Boulder, CO depot, heading to Denver. The D&RGW car in the background re-enforced the D&RGW notion, but the C&S unit was a reminder that this really wasn't the Grande's home rails.

During Beet season, the C&S leased some power from DRGW and some ex-MKT F units from Precision National.

they sure did, I shot Katy and PNC's (in yellow) out on the line and at Rice Yard in Denver
